Police one day shoot a couple who both have mental illness,
unsure of what to do when confronted by the force.
People want answers, the down demands better service, people are angry. But what happens the next day?
Nothing. Instead, it takes another death, this time the death of a local black teenager, shot and killed by a woman in the security and safety of his own house. Finally, people realize that there is something wrong.
The crackheads, the junkies, the businessman, the LGBTQ community, the local high school teenagers all line up one day at the city center, and protest.
“Free the enslaved!” Signs of peace and the escape of the current social uncertainty are omnipresent. But nothing happens.
There is no change, instead police officers hurt more people who are “pushing” for change. The local newspaper the next day reads
“Young teenager beat to near death by cops, protests ensue.” And the town returns back to their violence.
