Writer Bios

John RC Potter is an international educator from Canada, living in Istanbul.  He has experienced a revolution (Indonesia), air strikes (Israel), earthquakes (Turkey), boredom (UAE), and blinding snow blizzards (Canada), the last being the subject of his story, “Snowbound in the House of God” (Memoirist). His poems, stories, essays, and reviews have been published in a range of magazines and journals, most recently in Blank Spaces, (“In Search of Alice Munro”),  Literary Yard (“She Got What She Deserved”), The Montreal Review (“Letter from Istanbul”).  His story, “Ruth’s World” (Fiction on the Web) was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. The author’s gay-themed children’s picture book, The First Adventures of Walli and Magoo, is scheduled for publication.

Frederick Pollack has published five books of poetry and appears often in print and online journals. He graduated from Yale, and for some years taught creative writing at George Washington University. Born in Chicago, he spent much of his life in California. He and his wife now live in Washington, DC.

Chinasa-Nnenna is an Igbo poet, essayist, and orator. They have a marked interest in themes ofconsumption, death, the “other”, ancestry, and the mystical. Chinasa graduated from ColumbiaUniversity with a BA in Psychology. Chinasa is interested in filmmaking and portraiture usingoil pastels. She self-describes as an emissary of sweet spellwork.

Jonathan Fletcher holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Columbia University School of the Arts. His work has been featured in numerous literary journals and magazines, and he has won or placed in various literary contests. A Pushcart Prize nominee, he won Northwestern University Press’s Drinking Gourd Chapbook Poetry Prize contest in 2023, for which he will have his debut chapbook, This is My Body, published in 2025. Currently, he serves as a Zoeglossia Fellow and lives in San Antonio, Texas

Ruvarashe Rukuni was previously published in Chronicles from Africa, a poetry book featuring poetsf rom Africa. Some of her poems were previously published in Chronicles from Africa, a poetry book featuring poets from Africa. Her work has been published in newspapers such as Mt Kenyan Times, TheIndependent, and The Standard Zimbabwe. She has a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe, and she is currently studying bachelor’s degree in Social work at the University of InformationTechnology and Management in Rzeszow, Poland. Her ultimate objective is to start my own non-governmental organization and work on initiatives that have a significant influence.

Victoria Garton is a renowned poetry writer. Her recent poetry acceptances have come from Clarion, Cosmic Daffodil, I-70 Review, Pleiades, Proud to Be (Honorable Mention), Sangam, Sparks of Calliope, The Ekphrastic Review, The Penwood Review, The Seraphic Review, Thorny Locust, WayWords Literary Journal, and Wasteland Literary Magazine. Bright Flash Literary Review published her flash fiction.

Joan Mazza has worked as a medical microbiologist, psychotherapist, and taught workshops onunderstanding dreams and nightmares. She is the author of six self-help psychology books,including Dreaming Your Real Self (Penguin/Putnam), and her poetry has appeared in TheComstock Review, Atlanta Review, Prairie Schooner, Adanna Literary Journal, Poet Lore, Slant,The Nation, and elsewhere. She lives in rural central Virginia.

Dominik Slusarczyk is an artist who makes everything from music to painting. He was educated at The University of Nottingham where he got a degree in biochemistry. His poetry has been published in various literary magazines including California Quarterly and Taj Mahal Review. His poetry was long listed in the VOLE Books Summer Competition and was a finalist in the Flying South Contest.
